Ancient Egypt. Late Period, c. 664-535 BC. Fantastic bronze statuette of the goddess Isis suckling baby Horus. She is depicted with tall headdress with sun disc and uraeus (cobra), finely-rendered wig and facial details. Horus is shown in human form with single side-knot of hair on the side of his head. A magnificent and large piece, mounted on a clear lucite stand. Entire piece stands 120 mm (4 3/4") tall. The bronze itself is about 110 mm tall.
