Luristan Persia, 1500 - 1200 BC. Excellent bronze bottle and small cup. Found in Western Iran. An amazing pair! Bottle measures 100 mm (4 inches) tall. Wonderful deep olive-green patina, with a linear ding on one side. Looks like it was hit with a sword or axe at some point in time. #988: $450/pair. SOLD

Ancient Luristan, Persia. Western Iran, 8th-7th century BC. Large bronze open-work square pin head. Centering a horned mouflon-like creature in a vine frame, a decorative rivet in each corner; the attachment formed by rows of wrapped wire. Measures 60 mm (2 3/8 inches) tall.
