Luristan, ancient Persia, c. 1200 – 800 BC. A very large and impressive Luristan bronze cloak pin. The terminal in the form of a humped bull, with large circular eyes and wearing a collar. L: 9 1/8" (23.4 cm). An attractive piece with nice olive green patina, earthen deposits. Ex Naomi Lindstrom collection, acquired during the 1950's-70's. Extremely impressive in-hand! #AP2265: $399

Luristan, ancient Persia, c. 1000 - 600 BC. Massive and heavy bronze torque (bracelet or armlet). The surfaces with intricate incised decoration. Outside diameter: 4 1/8" (10.5cm). Measures 3 1/4" inside diameter. Was meant to be worn around the upper arm, at the biceps. This is a large piece so likely belonged to a warrior or other relatively large and muscular individual! Luristan, Persia, c. 800 BC. Great bronze figure of an ibex with human rider! The human figure interpreted as "The Hero", squat in form with eyes and mouth detail still somewhat visible. Luristan, Persia, c. 1000 – 600 BC. Excellent bronze figurine of a goat. With long body and short tapered legs, the head well styled with large eyes and short horns, suspension loop at back.
