Cleopatra VII (51-29 BC) , Ptolemaic mint at Paphos, Cyprus. Cast bronze AE11 (Dichalkon or 1/8th unit).
Obverse: Bust of Cleopatra rt, wearing fillet and hair in a bun.
Reverse: Double filleted Cornucopia, BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU (partial) around.

The Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt, Cleopatra VII. 50 - 31 BC. AE-Drachmae. Alexandria. 27mm. 15.93g. Her diademed and draped bust rt. / Eagle standing lt. on a thunderbolt, cornucopiae before. Scor. 1871; Weiser 183; SNG Cop 419-421. Fine with a good profile of one of the most notorious figures of antiquity. Some roughness overall, but a nice example and increasingly rare to find in this great quality! $875 SOLD
