Madonna and Child Silver Coins
"Maddonnenmunzen" - the most revered silver coins of their time. The coin was struck in commemoration the birth of Christ.
They were issued to display piety, faith and defiance during the continuous struggle against the Ottoman Turks.
Each measures around 15-16 mm, weigh between 0.47 - 0.60 grams.
